Thought we might try something new this year. Predict the score and the tiebreaker will be Patriots offensive yardage.

I don't think the ratio will be that great. I think short "run" passes will even it out.Miami Blitzed a lot last year, and I suspect with a rookie QB at the helm they will blitz Jones a lot. This being said I expect the run to pass ratio to be closer to 70/30. This helps Mac get acclimated, keeps our defense fresh ( if it's successful ) keeps their offense off the field, and wares down the Miami D. Now of course there has to be success in the run game, if it's not working I suspect they won't give up on it to fast, they want the run to set up the pass. Again it has to work and it's just one mans train of thought

Welcome to the Hoop and to Patriots board.Hi. Newish around here. Are the Predict the Score posts in specific team threads open to all forum members or just ones with a favorite team logo? Don't want to rock any boats.

Could be I am thinking with a rookie not matter how comfy they are they want to see how he does at game speed before they open things up and I think it's important to establish that run for week four. Could be be closer to 50/50?I don't think the ratio will be that great. I think short "run" passes will even it out.
If the run game gets off to a good start, I'd expect it to be 80/20. They'll pull the the secondary up close and then throw a pass. The secondary will back off and they'll pound the DL and LBs. There are more than enough horses in the Patriots stable to just keep beating on them if they have problems stopping the run.Could be I am thinking with a rookie not matter how comfy they are they want to see how he does at game speed before they open things up and I think it's important to establish that run for week four.
