WHAT?

I hope you didn't just fall off a cabbage truck but I do hope you are right!
You don’t need to be an expert on the Corona Virus. It would be far more important to understand the political ramifications of keeping such a huge part of the economy shut down for a full year. It goes far beyond epidemiologists and doctors. The destruction in this world would be far greater keeping economies shut down than it would to let this virus run completely free, let alone us mitigating some of the ramifications.

When has the economy been shut down for a full year? Unless my math is really screwed up I'm only counting a little more than a couple of months. All I have been saying throughout this entire situation is that I think we are opening the economy back up too much, too fast, and too soon, that's all.

It isn’t your math. It is your understanding that my statement was a projection. The question is IF we will have football games at all. In order for there to be no games, the economy would have to be shutdown until February or March of 2021. That would be a full year of economic shut down.

Yes, and people who are saying that have no understanding of the effects of economic turmoil. The US is not used to poverty. As a matter of fact, they have no idea what poverty even is. The most impoverished American is rich to the impoverished world. To fall into poverty is far different than having been raised in it.

Thank you Dr. Dad. When did you become an expert on coronavirus? You are just what we need since it doesn't appear that we have any other experts anywhere whether they are from the medical field or in politics. I hope you know that I am just messing with you but we all hope you are right in saying "We are going to play football!"
I don’t have to be an expert to have an opinion . Add to it these experts have been wrong . Now if nascar is opening up , baseball looks to be opening up , the MMA is opening up , our local colleges are opening up in the fall I can hedge toward football being played can’t I ?

Early signs look very positive, particularly in Georgia but I think we need to wait another week or 2 before we can say confidently with 100% certainty that "we were right". Georgia's decision to open 2+ weeks ago was lambasted 24/7 by media. You'd think this positive news is reportable? Been pretty silent

I know I want things to get better and return to normal but I cant confidently say that about some members of media and politicians

Everyone has an opinion concerning this pandemic and your opinion is just as good as the opinions of others. My hope is that we will all be well in the weeks and months to come which will tell us all which opinions made now will prove to be more accurate. I sincerely hope that I will be proven wrong about my current opinion on how we as a nation are handling this crisis.
