Not thread related but Collins had 14 and 5 in his NBA debut last night @Hitman Hart . In just 22 minutes. He's gonna be a beast.
Not only will Iowa not finish 8th in the B10 but I think they may win the league. Certainly no worse than top 4. 10 key players coming back and added some really nice freshman. First time in forever I think the Hawks have a good chance at winning the league
Iowa is one of only 4 teams in the to win double digits games the last 4 years , they return a ton and the league schedule is crazy favorable ( only play MSU, Purdue , NW, Maryland and Wisjy 1 time each with 3 of them at home ). The majority of Iowas schedule is vs the bottom tier teams . I could easily see 13 league wins without stretching
It's crazy how unheralded this team is this year. Like you said, there are 10 players returning plus two very good FR coming in which will limit playing time for Uhl and others. The schedule is ridiculously easy this year. They have to make some noise.Iowa is one of only 4 teams in the to win double digits games the last 4 years , they return a ton and the league schedule is crazy favorable ( only play MSU, Purdue , NW, Maryland and Wisjy 1 time each with 3 of them at home ). Yeah, he's an amazing player. He made the right decision of leaving early.
McCaffery is taking a RS and playing baseball this year. I was referencing Garza and Nunge, who will both have time to gain their footing in a weak non-con schedule. The problem with it is that the media rarely gives credit to Freshmen that aren't consensus Top 100 players. Garza is #117 in the 247 composite, while McCaffrey is #150.
Pre-season polls are wrong, a lot. I expect similar laziness when it comes to Wake in the ACC.
I'm with you on Michigan St being at the top. I would have rather had Bridges go pro.I'd be stunned if anybody outside Michigan State won the league. 2-9 and maybe even 10(just going by the preseason poll) is a crap shoot IMO. Michigan State pretty clearly has the best talent in the league, and they add 3 huge impact players through recruiting and just having guys healthy.

Yeah, it wouldn't surprise me if he made a push for rookie of the year, assuming as the year goes on he's gets more playing time.

Looks like he primarily played with the second unit yesterday. Feel like this is a good time to remember that Collins was ranked #169 in the 247sports composite in 2015..
