Jaguars waived SS Barry Church.
How the mighty have fallen. Church's 2018 campaign with Jacksonville consisted of bottling Gronk in Week 2, getting arrested in London after allegedly skipping on a $40,000 bar tab, and eventually getting benched in Week 12 for rookie S Ronnie Harrison. Church was in on 96% of defensive snaps prior to riding the pine. We expect him to find a suitor shortly given his veteran status.

I'd keep Church on speed dial in case if injury, but I don't think he helps the team today.

I don't think he is better than what we have, about the same

I'm torn. The Church that left here that last season was a lot better than anything we are running out there at SS right now. But, a couple years older for a player that was already slow and not great in coverage and I tend to agree with you. I really didn't watch much of Balt this year so I don't really have an informed decision. In today's NFL I tend to lean more towards coverage safeties than in the box safeties.
