If I were Elway I would have a kicker on the PS working every day.
If McManus got the Rona be nice to have a kicker rigth there ready instead of tryouts the week of

No what you should sign is a veteran QB like eagles did with McCown who is not at practice but involved in all the meetings Via zoom.
Jeff Driskel can’t teach Lock how to prepare game week.

I think Elway is too frugel

Fugle now might get to keep Miller later.

It is not like we are a cheapskate team we have the best facilities in the league by a long shot.

Not every team needs an emergency covid qb. Especially when you've done better than most teams in controlling the outbreaks.

I don’t want a Covid QB
I want a vet who has been in the league and help prepare Drew week in a week out.

It makes a lot of sense to me. But who? Paxton Lynch is available. ;)

This will show you who we value the most on our PS.

Broncos protect Rypien, Tuszka, Rodgers, Locke on practice squad ahead of Week 1 game

Locke surprises me a bit. I didn’t realize we were very high on him. I always thought Douglas Coleman would get the PS spot over him and surprises me that we protected him over Holder but hear me out. Holder has a hamstring injury so unlikely someone is gonna sign him while he is banged up.

Thinking Tuszka probably gets activated off PS for Von’s spot.

Here's a 'Welcome To Denver' highlight video on Youtube. Look at 03:30 where he wasn't even blocked. The kid appears to have some speed:

...and here come the goofy roster weight games. I am seeing him listed anywhere from around 225 to 250 pounds or so. The Broncos roster site has him at 251 (Denver Broncos) and the video I've seen of him does look like he could (or could have) added good weight to that frame. Now I want to see him activated.

In pass rushing situations - I think he will be fine.

This is probably the Covid Crazy in me, but I think the fact that we don't hear anything about Rypien - is that the Broncos see him as grade A backup QB material. Twice during training camp articles in the Athletic there was mention of Drew Lock hanging with Rypien to get Rypien's opinion on how he was doing in drills. Why bother with Driskill?

If my theory is correct - it allowed the Broncos to play games by waiving Rypien and then getting him to the roster status he has right now.

I think he could do well. I wish I had some Training Camp and preseason video of him to watch. Instead I'm just going off of old college highlights. He does look like he added good weight over the college seasons though. Still...last I saw he was listed as a Practice Squad guy. So it's not like the Broncos would rely on him as a starter at the OLB position if he gets activated. So as spot relief, as a pass rusher, maybe he can make an impact.
