Powe signs one year deal

Details: 750 k/yr a 205k raise.

The kid is a horse who never stops. I like it.

now that is a good signing. powe has all the skills that lavy likes in his 3rd and 4th line forwards. at a reasonable price as well. of course he only had to look at the cap space left to know what his ceiling was ultimately going to be.

FINALLY something that makes some sense! Love this signing, Your right Tox, Powe is a workhorse and will fit in nicely with the other grinders!

And everyone thought I was NUTS for suggesting $750k for Powe. I agree that this is a good thing. We now have 14 forwards, 8 defensemen and 2 goalies. I doubt Cote goes with his cap friendly hit and since we have 8 dmen. Bartulis is only $600k and has a 1 way contract. Goodbye Mr. Walker.

I'm cool with that but what if they move another dman for a goalie? My guess is if a nice trade doesn't come up by the start of the season he'll be gone unless he completely impresses at camp...they just can't afford not to do something unless Bartulis has a 2 way then they can probably go with the roster as is. Although I'd just get rid of Cote and bring up a more skilled player when needed.
