Michael Grabner will miss the first two games of the season to get acclimated to the team & Scott Gordon's system. Gillies will be sent down when Grabner is ready. They want Gillies to play against Boogard & the Rangers. Matt Martin had a foot injury & it hurt his conditioning according to Scott Gordon. Many thought he had a good shot at making the team. Jon Sim beat him out. When Schremp comes back Sim will be gone.

Nino Niederreiter will play at least the first 8 games. If he plays lights out he stays. If he doesn't he goes back to Portland in the DUB.

Travis Hamonic will start the season in Bridgeport. Calvin De Haan was named the Captain of the Oshawa Generals today. Congrats to Calvin.

So does Louie Lams get a pass from the media for only being able to dress 11 forwards for the season opener? The media roasted Sutter a couple of years ago for bad cap management when a slew of injuries struck after game 72 and LTIR was no longer available resulting in a depleted bench.
