Here's to Dallas keeping denver fans from stinking up this thread any further.
Stink it up? Teams that put up record numbers through 5 weeks don't stink usually. Can't wait to see the chiefs game

No, more like ASS it up.
I'm sorry, what was that? I can't quite hear you from first place in the division!![]()
You're not alone there brother. But thanks for giving us all a great exmple of what I meant when I said ASS it up.
We have a division win, you don't. That means tie breaker goes our way! The view up here sure is nice!
Tie breakers after week 5? Realy? Are you always so needy?![]()
I will say this right now,Peyton would not have his numbers or Brady in 07 with the old rule's, Goodell has gutted defensive play's and now we see games with huge passing numbers,so the Bree's,Manning's,Brady's of today most likely would have their passing yardage cut by at least 30%.
that idea was to see teams score more points for fan interest, and i'm guessing ratings for the 'Boys, Donks game yesterday netted some big numbers for the league. hell, maybe the combined score record for NFL teams(113) will be broken this season or next. the game yesterday came within 2 touchdowns of it...
but i tend to agree that defenses are rather hamstrung by it...
I read that it was the highest rated game on any network this season.
and there ya have it. i was just throwing it out as a guess, but that cinches it...
I have no problem with teams scoring a lot of points. But do we really need video game type numbers here? A good defensive struggle can be just as exciting as a shootout.
heh, unfortunately that argument seems to only work for us old school types...
trust me, i enjoyed a good 17-14 final score when i was growing up with the NFL...
