Here's to Dallas keeping denver fans from stinking up this thread any further.

Stink it up? Teams that put up record numbers through 5 weeks don't stink usually. Can't wait to see the chiefs game

i don't believe i'm saying this, but i feel the same way. here's the thought i have in my mind. i want to see BOTH these teams get the best records they can BEFORE they meet, then go head to head and see how they stack up against each other. now understand that i think that the Donkos have the better team, so i'm not coming from COMPLETE homerism, but as far as the seaon is concerned it'd be interesting to me seeing if the Chiefs can actually gain a split with a team as good as these guys are, or for that matter(yes, i know it's far fetched) actually take them for a series. the importance of this of course would be using it as kind of a gauge to see how well my Chiefs would do in the playoffs or how well they should be able to hang with other playoff teams...

so i'm actually kinda pulling for this thing to go as far as it can before our match-ups. look at it SO far. can't say it's been boring...:suds:

Well the Chiefs will be the best defense the donkeys will have faced this season. The problem is that I just don't trust our offense to sustain drives and keep the 5 head on the sidelines. It's very possible that both teams will be 9-0 when we first meet in denver in a few weeks. The Chiefs have their next three games at Arrowhead against oakland, Cleveland, and Houston. All winable games. And who knows about Buffalo. I think the bills are on par with the titans so that should be winable as well. And the only challenge the donks are going to have until KC comes to town might be from the Colts in Indy. Regardless of what my heart wants I would have to say the donkeys take the first game. A few weeks later in KC could be another story though.

We have a division win, you don't. That means tie breaker goes our way! The view up here sure is nice!

I will say this right now,Peyton would not have his numbers or Brady in 07 with the old rule's, Goodell has gutted defensive play's and now we see games with huge passing numbers,so the Bree's,Manning's,Brady's of today most likely would have their passing yardage cut by at least 30%.

that idea was to see teams score more points for fan interest, and i'm guessing ratings for the 'Boys, Donks game yesterday netted some big numbers for the league. hell, maybe the combined score record for NFL teams(113) will be broken this season or next. the game yesterday came within 2 touchdowns of it...

but i tend to agree that defenses are rather hamstrung by it...

I read that it was the highest rated game on any network this season.

and there ya have it. i was just throwing it out as a guess, but that cinches it...

I have no problem with teams scoring a lot of points. But do we really need video game type numbers here? A good defensive struggle can be just as exciting as a shootout.

Well with all of the hysteria over hitting "defenseless" players  I don't see it getting better any time soon. Maybe they should just add a 12th player to the defense?
