I like this draft a lot DAD...Can we just forego the actual draft and put our claim in?

I like this draft.. but I dont think Coleman makes it to the 5th. But if our draft worked out like that.. I would be good with it for sure. I am partial to Baptiste, but McGill would work as well.

What is it you like about Baptiste over McGill?

Be honest, I havent seen much of McGill. Baptiste from what i have seen does have the physical aspect I like in a corner though, and he is pretty fluid in coverage for a guy of his size. granted McGill is a little faster, but Baptiste also showed a little better presence when the ball was in the air with 7 INts over his college career and 25 passes broken up to McGills 1 INT and 13 passes broken up. Both rate about the same in most scouting sites, so I do defer a little to the numbers at that point. for the record, Walters has McGill rate as the 8th best CB in this draft, and Baptiste right behind him at 9th.

That's reasonable. I like playmakers but the speed is scary slow for a CB and McGill has also played some safety. I usually go by rankings of so-called experts and research from there. Can't fault stats but sometimes corners can be misleading b/c was McGill tested? I have no idea.

As I said, the ranking are so close between them that i give the nod to the numbers. Walters has Mcgill one spot over Baptiste, CBS has Baptiste one spot over. Both have excellent size. And the 40 time was 4.51 for Mcgill, 4.61 for Baptiste.

I tend to agree. But if Im picking and both are there.. i give a slight nod to Baptiste.

I went back to look at the difference in stats to get an understanding.

McGill was a JUCO transfer so those stats don't count. He was also injured like 4 games into the 2011 season and that caused him to miss all of 2012.

Baptiste had 4 INTs last season while McGill only had one but McGill did have more PDs last season. I'm just not sure how much McGill was targeted.

I don't think we can go wrong on either of them but that's the reason for the statistical difference.

I would be tickled pink if we land Lyerla. I was able to watch him live while at Oregon and the kid is a monster and very athletic. I don't think he last this long but would be a nice addition.

its more of a gamble that the off field issues knock him back

Great mock, personally I'd prefer bapstiste, Also I haven't heard of lyerla but at 7, it seems worth the risk to see what a TE offers. No complaints, I figure another WR can't hurt, especially if a 6-6 guy pans out.

he is said to have gronkowski type talent but off field issues are killing him
