I can't stand anything about the entire experience. The horrible parking. The outrageous cost. The drunken idiots. The horrible views. The long walks to the john. The horrible, freezing weather. I loathe it.

I saw a guy damn near get beat to death in the restroom at a Bengals v Ravens game. That was the last straw for me. Couple that with everything else I mentioned and it's just not worth it.

I can take my family to a Reds game and sit in the club section for $85 a ticket. This includes all the food we want...gourmet selections. All the drink we want. If it's too hot we sit inside in the ac. The bathroom is right there and not full of drunken retards. You cannot beat this experience. It's so much more friendlier and laid back.

From where I live, I can walk to the Light Rail, take a 35 minute train ride and then 5 minute walk to Mile High Station to party for pre-game and then 10-15 min walk to my seats. Light Rail is $8 round trip. I drop about $20-30 at Mile High Station for a few beers and maybe a bite. Maybe another $20-40 in the game on beers.

Tix I usually get are $110.00 each but I get them free sometimes as well. :yahoo:

If I am lucky I go to 3 games a year, pay for tix for 2, and drop about $50 each game + $110 per ticket for 2 games, I spend $360-$400 a season on 3 games.

And a Live Bronco Game blows away the experience on TV from an excitement and emotional level.

Coverage and instant replay may be better on TV, but the game experience is better.

The experience is awesome. You actually can have a hint of an impact on your team.

I'm talking solely in terms of the game, though. They show none of the game on TV.

I'm not sure what you mean by this. I see the entire game on tv. I see all kinds of different angles in beautiful HD.

You see what they show you. None of the actual action. No blocking, no route running, none of the coverage. Nothing that really matters.

I see the ball. They show replays of the route running, blocking, etc after almost every single play of any significance. I see plenty. I also have a toilet that's right down the hall. That's a huge plus.

How enjoyable your experience is depends on the kind of person you are. My brother and I went to the Music City Bowl to see Georgia Tech Monday. It was 30 degrees with a cold wind. Around 40,000 people. Sitting in the 2nd level on the corner. Right around the 10 yard line. We could see everything perfectly. Once you see live football the right way, you understand why people love it. Yes, its freezing, and unbearable crowds and traffic at times, but its really worth it in the end. Another thing that makes it worth it is the crowd experience. Sitting around dedicated fans chanting, and making the stands shake, is an unbelievable experience.

Regular season is one thing... Playoffs is another

The rest of my response would be moved to the politics forum

Not realistic.

Why not? They record that angle already. Wouldn't be terrible to have a second channel have the same audio feed and everything else, but replace the action feed with a decent one.

I'm definitely not a "jersey wearer." I cringe every time I see a grown man in one. Don't get me started on the face paint....dear lord...

If they show all the angles and such that you say make a live experience so awesome then why would anyone need to go to the game any more?

Thats cfb though... being at a cfb game is 1 million times more enjoyable than a pro game.

To each their own. Some people take it to extremes while others keep it casual. I buy jerseys. Not to wear them though. Its more of a collection kind of thing. And yea, face paint...lol. Makes me think of Raider fans. Its like a gothic fashion show to them :laugh3:

There are other reasons to go to a game.

Well that's because the games mean more in cfb because of the way its set up. Well, that's going to change now with the new playoff system, but the games will still be more meaningful. But all you need to do is go to a rivalry game or just a great home field in the NFL. A Steelers Ravens game? Hell yea. I don't care if its week 1. And despite how horrible the Redskins are, their home games are pretty electric as long as its a close game.

#1 seeds sell tickets quickly? That's surprising and unusual. Must be dedicated fans.

We sell out playoff games in minutes whether a WC game or not.

Just sayin`

Because seeing a play open up before you as it happens can't compare to watching it in pieces after the fact. If you disagree we just value different aspects of the experience of watching a game.

Your team has a mere 8ish years of consecutive sellouts. Not historically a great fan base. Just sayin'.
