For them but not for us.

Plus I'm sure the games will be televised so there won't be a complete revenue loss for the owners.
all want this

players want to get paid
owners want the tv revenue
fans want to see games if only on tv
vegas wants their gamblers back:suds:

Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times writes that MLB's preferred plan would be to start in late June or early July with as many teams as possible playing in their home parks while also competing in their normal divisions.
The season would consist of an abbreviated schedule of at least 80 games. There was a report earlier this week from Bob Nightengale of USA Today which included three divisions of 10 teams each separated by region, so it's interesting to see normal divisions coming back into play as a possibility. Of course, it's way too soon to say anything for sure, as any plan would dependent on progress regarding testing and the reopening of states and cities. If baseball is played, one of the goals will surely be to limit travel as much as possible, so we're likely to see more divisional games regardless of what the divisions ultimately look like. MLB continues to mull over various ideas for a potential season and this is just the latest on that long list.
