I will go on record saying that I hate all of these new age artists that are entertainers first, and vocalists second. I am not a fan of Ed sheeran or Adele but I respect their work because they have the pipes to back it up! Can't say the same of the carousel pop-stars today.

I like U2 but can't stand REM.

I like REM but can't stand U2. Bono is such a pompous dick. I won tickets to a show in DC once and maybe 1/3 of their show was music, the other 2/3 was political bullshit.

Foo Fighters. Never liked em. They have some songs that I like a little bit of, but their formula for every damn song grinds my gears: "start off with good music and thoughtful lyrics...moving along...STOMP ON THE PEDAL AND SCREAM AND SCREAM TO LET EVERYONE KNOW HOW FULL OF ANGST WE ARE...back to good music before the next overbearing screaming"

Agreed. Have never owned a single Foo Fighters album. From the time the first album was released, I found the music highly formulaic and boring. Dave Grohl's lead singing does nothing for me. He's an amazing drummer and did a respectable job of providing some background vocals during Nirvana concerts, but I think he should of stuck with drumming and left the guitar and lead vocals to others.

He's one of the better live drummers I've seen and he did it with a very basic kit. For anyone who wants a taste of it, watch the Nirvana concert video of them playing the Paramount theater, Oct 31, 1991 in Seattle. Grohl absolutely owned that drum kit. His talent really stood out. The link has a playlist of most of the concert. Highly suggest it for anyone to see if they never have.

I think everything done by the Foo Fighters is utterly forgettable.

For the newer popular music crowd, I can't fucking stand Lorde. I have no clue what the mass public sees in her, but I think she's a no talent hack that is singing over an annoying electro pop bullshit.

Oh, and I don't know if Everclear are still around, but they fucking suck live. I used to like them until I heard them live on the radio and they were terrible. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and went to a show and they were horrendous there to. Haven't been able to stomach them since.

Black Keys, not talented enough to pull off the two man band.

Mumford and Sons are just terrible.

Radiohead outside of The Bends album, and a few singular songs, are extremely overrated, IMO.
