I'll retract that. Washington pitched well and LA did in spurts. But I think that StL and SF will be more lock-down. I think we'll see some very low-scoring IPs from the SPs, especially because of the lack of hitting from these two teams. I think whichever one can solve that and/or their bullpen will win.

I don't disagree with your assessment of this series at all, but those two teams both faced excellent pitching already.

Cards faced Kershaw, Grienke, Ryu, Kershaw. That is insane.

Giants faced Strasberg, Zimmerman, Fister and Gonzalez. Also insane and the scores of that series prove it.

Clutch hitting is definitely going to be a huge key in this series though. When guys get on, you gotta get em in.

Yea. The Nats arguably had the best pitching of all the teams in this year's post-season.

Now I think I would rank the rotations this way...

Giants
Cards

Royals
Orioles

The Giants and Cards are both built almost the exact same way - Pitching, defense, experience (in that order). Offense is a complete after-thought.

The Royals are speed and defense and the O's are offense, offense, offense.

You may want to tune in to the Orioles a little more than that. They definitely have the best of the 4 remaining offenses...but they are more than that.

Kevin Love picked Cleveland over Arizona, nuff said lol.

I'll take Arizona over Cleveland any day. But he went there because of LeBron James and money.... Simple as that.

BAL - 3.44 ERA
SFG - 3.50 ERA
STL - 3.50 ERA

So with a worse ERA (and that's with playing in more pitcher friendly ballparks and no DH), the Cards and Giants are built on pitching and Baltimore isn't?

The funniest part is Kevin Love didn't even get to choose. He was traded... that typical Lakers fan probably thought he was a Free Agent. smh

He said he went there because of LBJ and money, not because he didn't have a choice. Can you read bruh? lol.

If you don't think Love had any influence on where he went, then I'd say you're being pretty naive...I mean, if he states or gives the impression that he certainly won't sign with team X if traded there, you really think team X will want to give away everything but the kitchen sink for a one year rental of him.

Come on...

uhh... the Cavs had Andrew Wiggins. If they didn't have Wiggins do you think he would wind up in Cleveland? NO. Plain and simple. Minnesota got the best return they could've asked for, they didn't care where Love went.

K-Love actually went on the record to say he'd sign long term in PHX if he was traded there. Back then the rumor was Bledsoe and picks for Love. Obviously they liked Wiggins more (younger, better contract, more upside) so they took that deal instead. As much as you think Love had control over where he was TRADED to... he really didn't. Wolves FO are really stubborn. They would only trade him for fair price, not where he wanted to go.

When was this? Everything I found on the web basically says 'it's unclear whether Love would want to sign long-term with Phoenix.'

All that money thrown around and still no ring in how many years now? :pound::pound:

Baseball Gods prevail. Couldn't have happened to a bigger bunch of classless asswipes!

You say that as if the Diamond Backs did better:lol: Those losers didn't even make the playoffs:pound::pound::pound:

At any rate no expected the Dodgers to actually win a title. I think they are at least two or three years from that possibility. Normal baseball fans knows that a good farm system is needed to produce the talent that wins championships. The money the new owners spent was well worth it for them considering that they have made the playoffs two years straight - that sold tickets and it also sold them the rights to Time Warner. Dodgers are going to be in contention for years to come and will easily see another championship long before the Diamondbacks will
