QB is always the most important. Everybody knows that.

I find that cliché to be crap. You can take 1 person off that offense and still be great. Take Sherman off that defense and they give up a lot more scoring.

Earl Thomas makes the Seattle defense possible with his speed and cover ability. It allows Sherman to be more aggressive because he had Thomas over the top.

That's OK with me. I like you a lot but your full of crap. RW is "thee guy" on the Seahawks and I don't care what anyone says. That what I believe and I'm sticking to it.

Russell Wilson, and we are very fortunate to have the other players that are in the poll.

QB is always obvious but outside of that I'd say Thomas. Thomas is the entire reason Seattle can run a cover 3, allow Sherman + whoever to press and Kam to play mid field and demolish basically any TE/slot receiver. Without Thomas the whole defense has to be changed.

If I had to pick a #2 it would be Sherman.

An offense can game plan to keep the ball away from a defender, but a defense cannot game plan to keep the ball away from a quarterback. A quarterback is just so much more important.

Kind of impressive to be able to put 5 names like that up there and not even listing Jimmy Graham. I really hope their OL falls apart in 2015...

There are 50-60 QBs in the league that could QB that team to a Super Bowl with Lynch doing all the dirty work and being the work horse. But the way that defense is built is even more important.

Jimmy Graham blows. He was Drew Brees' #1, of course he was going to put up numbers. Except of course, not against any team that got physical with him.

I say Beast Mode, because without him, the offense wouldn't be effective with only a passing game. I mean, if they had handed it to Lynch in the Super Bowl, they would have won, so there's your MVP.

I went with Lynch, he takes a ton of pressure off the pass game. Without him, the offenses falters much more often then it already does, even with RW. On Defense, ET is the glue but all those guys are super important to the D.

It is an easy pick with Lynch for me though. They even named a saying about him being so important: He is the Lynch Pin"

Interesting perspective -- placing a ton of value on who gets the final yard vs the one who gets you down there. I remember one year Tommy Vardell had a bunch of 1 YD TD plunges and Barry Sanders scored like 2 times all year.

It's Russell Wilson and it's not close. He gained 2/3 as much as Lynch did on the ground last year, led the NFL in ypc and rushing on 3rd down. You take him away from that team and that stuff goes with him. He makes life easier on Lynch as much as the other way around. His YPA, passer rating, and TD:INT are all excellent and have been for 3 seasons.

It's really funny that most of the Lynch-haters are Seahawks fans. LOL

Its Russell Wilson because QB is like 30-50% of a teams success. Seattle's oline is also not good at pass blocking so you couldn't put a statue back there and get results. I do think that Seattle wouldn't be the same team at all without a top 10 running back and Lynch is that and much more.

Bobby Wagner is only slightly less important than Sherman and Thomas. If any one of those three guys goes down then their whole defense takes a hit. Earl Thomas is probably the most important of the three and Sherman is probably the best at what he does.
