Towns is more polished than Okafor by a mile.

A few years into their careers DeAngelo Russell and Stanley Johnson will be the best players though.

Okafor's offense is way more polished than Towns. Ultimately though, I think Towns ends up the better pro.

I'm kind of surprised Okafor is so strongly in the discussion for the #1 pick. I'm having trouble seeing what he could become in the NBA. Scouts still get all hard over big guys.

I would think Russell would get more consideration the way the NBA is going.

I worry Okafor could be a bust in the NBA. His lack of defense and rebounding at the college level have me concerned. His pick-and-roll defense was horrible. He'll get destroyed at the NBA level if he can't improve that.

I could see the Lakers taking Russell at #2 if Minnesota takes Towns at #1. The Lakers will do their due diligence on these guys.

The only way I see the Lakers picking Russell is if they have some sort of agreement with Gasol, Aldridge or DeAndre Jordan. Our team needs a center big time and unfortunately Hill won't do.

And guards and small forwards. I wouldn't count Russell out. They'll bring them all in for extended workouts.

If I were the lakers, I would definitely go Russell. A C isn't going to make you significantly better. Especially if that center is Okafor. If I'm the lakers, I take Russell and let him learn from Kobe.

Lakers already have their PG for the future. No need for Russell really.

You didn't watch the NBA much this year did you...

Who? Clarkson?

Why on Earth would I be watching or following the Lakers towards the end of the season when they had their own prime time games thrown off TV for sucking so bad?

And how did that work out for them?

Clarkson was praised by vets around the league and was selected to the NBA All-Rookie 1st team, you didn't really have to follow the Lakers to know who he was.

To be honest, the only reason I know who he is, is because I follow Jeremy Lin.
