Yet that offense put up more points against what I am sure you will say is great Cincy defense and we won.

weird right? I wonder how that happened even without Pitta.

Dalton sucks in heavy wind. Take out the elements, I bet we would have beat you by 10+ points.

You scored on short fields, that was not on our defense really, more the lack of Dalton and his ability to play in windy conditions with his weak arm and small hands.

You guys are really sensitive...Its almost like you are trying to convince yourselves you belong at the top of the AFCN? Enjoy it gentleman it wont last and if it does I sure hope our teams play in the playoffs.... that would be great.

Not sensitive, we're just not delusional like you are.

In no way, shape, or form is Pitta returning like the pats getting Gronk back. Gronk is 1000X the TE pitta is. It will help your offense, no doubt, but the issue is with you trying to prove to US that Pitta returning is the missing key to this team making a deep run into the playoffs.

If that is what Baltimore has been waiting on all year...it's going to be a short ride.

When in doubt, play the douche card of "it won't last, enjoy it, etc..."

Nicely played troll.

Right now, there is no doubt that the Bengals belong exactly where they are...Atop the AFCN and one of the best teams in the AFC.

Thanks for playing.

And it's almost like you are holding on to last year. Let it go......last year was your year.....this year is not.

No, no heavy winds in Texas of course. That was just Andy being too overwhelmed by the pressure of being in the playoffs, and sucking it up.

That game in Baltimore, Flacco himself said that was the second worst wind he has ever played in Baltimore outside of one game his rookie season. Dalton can't overcome that wind with his arm.

I would rather have cheap Dalton, than expensive as hell Flacco though.

Good luck. I think the Dolphins are going to take that 6th seed in the playoffs, and if you do make it, you won't beat anyone.

I mean, at least Dalton has a reason for sucking, he was a second round pick, makes no money. Flacco was a first round pick, has the biggest contract in the NFL doesn't he? I mean, I would still rather have Dalton if all else was equal money wise.

I'm choking on the irony here.

You're the Raven fan on this board begging for respect because your team won the SB last year. You're also high on fumes if you believe Pitta was the missing link. The missing link for your offense wears red and gold on Sundays now.

Flacco got paid bc he is one of the winningest QB's in the playoffs especially on the road of all-time in just 5 years and don't forget he just won the Super Bowl and MVP. Andy Dalton doesn't have one of those laying around does he?

I am not here begging for respect from CIncy fans that's laughable I was just reading the crap your posting and thought I would bring some sanity to the convo. The division isn't yours yet and you aint winning in Pittsburgh in December. When you lose that game if we win in Detriot the division is up for grabs.

See you in Cincy. :agree:

Can't win there in December? I beg to differ: Cincinnati Bengals vs. Pittsburgh Steelers - Recap - December 23, 2012 - ESPN

You failed to add "sanity" to this board when you tried to say that Pitta was your offensive missing link. You then tried to say that getting Pitta back would be like when the pats got Gronk back. :hellno:

The guy scored 2 TD's against the 32nd ranked defense, a defense allwoing 30 points a game, and a defense ranked 31st in passing defense. Yet, without ADP, you needed a furious comeback that relied on a 77 yard kickoff return, not your offense. If you can't fail to see that, then you are just delusional.

Don't like what we have to say, click the "X" in the top right hand corner of your screen, or simply stay off our board.

his point is ok, but it's just exaggerated. we're over rated, his team is under rated. The Raven's still have a hard row to hoe through Detroit and New England though. the game against us is pretty much up for grabs at this point. It all depends on which version of Andy Dalton shows up.

Over the years the Marvin Lewis Bengals have had more success at Pittsburgh than at home against them. I don't mean to disrespect the Steelers at all, I'm sure they'll come to play this Sunday, but I just don't believe anyone is going to derail this team over the next three weeks. I do expect a close game in Pitt, but I expect the Bengals to prevail, no matter if it's Good Andy or Bad Andy......

I don't believe that at all. Most pundits rank us 7th or 8th in the league and that is just about where we should be imo. These same pundits rank the Ravens anywhere from 10th to 16th, which I also believe to be fairly accurate. And we'll beat them if we need to in week 17.

Agreed.

While Baltimore's defense has been good, the offense (even with the return of the almighty pitta) is a shell of itself from last year.

A few reasons: The OL play is worse, or at least that seems to be my opinion. I don't know what PFF stats would say, but it just seems that way to me when I've seen them play. They lost Boldin. Torrey Smith is a great speed WR, but he lacks polish as a true route runner. Boldin was a huge safety blanket for Flacco, one that has not been replaced. The biggest issue for the offense is: Ray Rice. He's a shell of his 2012 and 2011 self. He looks old. He looks slow. I don't know if the hip is still bothering him more than he is letting on, but it's clear that he's not the same back. His yards after contract is terrible compared to his typical numbers, and with the subpar play of the OL, he's been unable to get many positive yards before facing contact. Without the true threat of a running game, Baltimore looks eerily similar to the Colts on offense.

My point was they traded Boldin who is a glorified TE then his replacement in production Pitta was injured. Pittas production is better then Boldins and Pitta is just as good a pass catcher and clutch. When we lost Pitta to injury we lost Pittas and Boldins production now that Pitta is back you will see a better offense. Im not saying Pitta is the "almighty" but that is funny I am saying he is huge for this offense.

Our D is right where it needs to be.

Actually they are not. They only give up 14 ppg at home but 27 ppg on the road. They are on the road in two of their last three games. They need to be at home.

Let's take a look at the 2-4 seeds, which is where we should end up. The Patriots have a 1 game lead on us with MIA, BAL and BUF remaining. Not impossible that they lose 1 or 2 of those. We have a 1 game lead on INDY, but really 2 because we own the head to head tiebreaker, who has HOU, KC and JAC left. With the way they are playing, I wouldn't be surprised if they lost at least 1 or 2 of those. So more than likely we end up with the 2 or 3 seed. If we get the 3 we get the 6 seed who will either be MIA or BAL probably though SD and NYJ are still in it. I like our odds against any of those teams. If we get the 2 seed we get a bye and then probably either NE or INDY. Again both winnable games since we have already beaten both. Then it would probably be off to Denver.

If we make it to Denver, I hope it is a fucking Blizzard. Snow, winds, the works. Sure Dalton can't throw in that, but I don't think Manning can either. He doesn't have a strong arm and his balls flutter as bad as Daltons do. That makes it a running and defensive battle and I think we have the advantage in both of those areas over Denver.

You can't just make stuff up.

To be fair, it's not better, but it is close.

2012: Boldin had 65 receptions for 921 yards in 15 games.
2012: Pitta had 61 receptions for 669 yards in 16 games.

My rebuttal would be that with Boldin taking a lot of the coverage for one side, and teams watching Smith's deep speed, this opened up a lot of routes for Pitta. Also, the run game, again, opened up a lot of things for the passing game. Something that Gruden is finally figuring out (these past two weeks anyway) with the Bengals.

Against a better defense this year, without a clear #2 WR, or a running game to take the pressure off, Pitta will find that it is not so easy to post those numbers. But, that remains to be seen.
