Listening to Cooley's podcast he said the team was upset about having to wear pads. Jay had to huddle them up after practice for longer than usual to give them a "talking to."
Cooley said the only reason they were in pads is because they have brand new offensive lineman and the only way to learn the run game and practice it is to do it in pads.
These players call out coaches all the time. Zach has done it. D.J. has put.it on the players to be fair. You are fighting for your season on Sunday and you are complaining about practice.
You have lost three in a row and four of five and you have the audacity to complain. To top it all off they were in the bubble.
If the defense doesn't want to be on the field all day they better hope they get the run game right and allow them every opportunity to do so, even if that means practicing in pads.
Not sure I understand the mindset of this team right now. Cooley said maybe them being pissed at Jay is a good thing. Sometimes it can be used to rally each other.
