Scuderi still needs to be out. The team played well overall, but Scuds made at least three bad turnovers that I saw because he was too soft or too hesitant with the puck. He's playing with no confidence, just getting the puck off his stick as fast as he can without regard to where it's going.

He defers to his partner every time they try to exit the zone. It makes them too easy to bottle up.

I don't know that we necessarily win tonight with him out of the lineup, but we give ourselves a better chance without him.

I thought the third was pretty even, honestly. Each team had a few good shifts, but most of the game was played in the neutral zone.

I'm going to disagree with that. It wasn't the dominant period that the third was, but it was evenly played. They played it pretty tight until maybe the last 6 or so.

Letang has the speed to make up for his mistakes often too. That pass was awful, but he is quick enough to get back in position.

Kunitz-Crosby-Stemp and Bennett-Goc-Sutter had a few good possessions each. The Malkin line was mostly on the rush, and the fourth line was useless, but those two lines were strong I thought.
