the good news,
in july, barmes has the second best ave after cutch(harrison and cole have better as well)
in july, barmes has fourth best OBP after cutch, martin, gabby.
between mercer and barmes, we are getting good production.
the bad news, everybody else on our offense is worse than barmes.
that is scary.
10 game road trip.
1 good team, 1 average team (but getting hot with harper healthy), 1 crappy team that is playing well with many young players the last month.
5-5 with some tough 1-run losses.
could have been better, but all in all, split on the road and win at home is what we are striving for to stay on top.
now we need to go 3-2 against the cards at home.
huge series.
5-5 road trip is ok, not great, not a disaster either. The next 5 games definitely won't determine the season for the Bucs. It'll be a good test, but they have a ton of division games left that will go a much longer way in determining the overall outcome. Even if they go 2-3 over the next 5, i don't see any reason to panic. Let's hope NH gets a bench bat or two to sure the offense up a bit.
