The MVP...
There's a lot of talk about him being the next GM of the Sens. If this is true then Eugene Melnyk is a fucking idiot. Bigger then anybody ever thought.
you know what will happen if he gets this gm job right?
Gord Miller will have a front office job ... and not some cushy pr job ... and actual job having to do with hockey talent evaluation ... good luck with that Gordo! (and to you Sens fans out there!)
Book this sucker!
LOL
That's pretty funny. I need some of that right now because it looks like the Sens are about to be blown up from top to bottom. Virtually every analyst is saying they think the Sens need to make significant changes. Rumors are running rampant.
Changes are coming for sure. It's just a matter of time.
i am dead serious ... those 2 are attached at the hip ... they pout when either have to do a game with Ferraro or Cuthbert
McGuire would be a horrible hire. The one positive I would gladly take from it is we wouldn't have to hear him on TV anymore. Then again can they hire Milpuke instead? PLEASE?
I might go on a shooting spree if this were to happen.
How about Craig Patrick?
I kind of want somebody a little younger though.
My first choice would be Jarmo Kekalainen. A former head scout within the organization and is responsible for drafting a lot of the guys who made the Sens a good team for a decade. I don't know if that would be possible but he'd be my ideal guy.
If not him then I really don't know.
I thought he left the Blues after the 2010 draft? Didn't he return to Finland to take the GM job at Jokerit or another Finnish club?
Honestly I'd give Mike Illitch a call & get permission to talk to Jim Nill. He's the head scout of the Wings.
Yeah, I looked it up. He's now the GM of Jokerit so he likely won't be back. At least, not for awhile.
I'd kill for Jim Nill but I don't know if the Wings would let him go.
And now that you think about potential replacements and the lack of good candidates out there. Maybe the plan is to wait until the summer and pick a candidate then.
There's only one problem with that, Murray as a lame duck making the trades.
I know but I'd rather have the right guy brought in to take over as GM then a quick fix GM.
Murray has been fine drafting and there's absolutely no way he can mess this up. The Sens will not make the playoffs this year so it's time to sell. He's gotta be able to see that.
