I know Nash going to Tor doesn't help him or the team that much but it sure would have been nice to see him come "home" and plus I hate the Lakers

I wanted Nash to go to Dallas where he used to play, and they're still a good team.

I vote to put a player from the Devils past on the banner: SCOTT STEVENS.

When you hear Zach talking about how he was talking to Ryan all season about playing together that pisses me off, he was trying to push the cash up is all he was doing

THIS... What really pissed me off is that I read on ESPN that Zack talked Ryan into signing with the wild, as if he sweeten the pot by saying I am going, you come too and lets make this something special... Fuck him and fuck his new team... I hope he enjoys no playoffs for a long time... Right now they are all the buzz, but as someone said, his goal production hasnt been the same since the injury and lets face it, how many times could he have buried a shot and didnt... at least Kovy coming down the wing alone and he can bury it past a goalie... zack had to be more fancy... so off to die in the wild.

Did he not learn anything from Gomez.... I dont even know where he is playing lol.

In moving on, how much money is now freed up (zack money) to go get someone else... Since we were a "contender" (yeah right) which zack, we have to have money then to fetch someone else.... Anyone know the numbers?

You'd turn down 52 Mil to make 42 Mil and be further away from home?

If it's solely about money, then no, you don't turn that down. If there's more to it....at least as you claimed to your prior employer and shareholder....then YES. Zach was 2 OT wins from the SC and is going to a rebuilding, but solid, Wild team. I don't blame him for doing it but most of the posts on this thread assume it was just about money. Maybe it was. Probably was. Well, yeah it was. But I hate hearing in the media that the player wants to stay and all that then promptly bolts for more money. I won't cheer Zach but I don't wish him ill will.

Now, about that NJ team. Looks like rebuilding starts now. Did we even draft a goalie?

Makes you wonder though why this seems to happen to nj? First neids and his brother excuse now Parise and his homesick excuse. It was sutter and his homesick excuse.

In Lou we trust baby! Im pretty sure we're starting a rebuilding stretch here but I trust Lou as long as he's at the helm. We draft guys and turn them into stars. But the franchise struggles with the cash part once we've turned them into stars. Im just glad Lou gave Zach a chance on that one year deal instead of cutting him loose fearing knee problems. We're not playing this past June if he doesn't give him that year. We did just play for the Cup......

I really think with the depth we have on D (8 guys) plus the fact that our best prospects are all on D, makes me think a trade will occur at some point to obtain a forward. I don't know if that will be now, start of the season, trade deadline, but it seems like we are set on D and could certainly use help up front.
