Pierre Garcon a Legit #1 WR

For those nay sayers out there that say he isn't......Really???

Tied for 6th in total catchs, 15th in yards.....he is 2nd Julio Jones in the NFC for catchs...How is he not a true #1????

I feel like there are times that stats are not as good as talent... Victor Cruz is the number one WR so far in football... But that is because he is the Giants only weapon right now... same thing with Garcon... who else is RG3 supposed to throw it too... His stats are great, but its more to do with where he is... I can name at least 10 WRs i would rather have than him, and most of them Garcon's stats are better than...

I dont know of anyone who said he is not a number one... I have heard people say he is a low end #1...

I wasn't saying...Garcon is better then.....lets say Calvin Johnson, or Cruz....Im just sayin.....He is a legit #1 receiver in this league and he doesnt get that recognition.....

As far as being the only weapon...that is the case with alot of receiveing corps as well...1 really good, and some so-so receivers.....Garcon is in that really good portion as well

I guess to me I view a true #1 as the guy that defenses have to game plan for every week. I feel like the only reason Garcon is game-planned for is because there just isn't anybody else to have to game-plan for with the Redskins. If they had a good #2 receiver I honestly think teams would leave Garcon in single coverage most of the game.

Well yes, I guess so...since the so called heads say they need a legit #1... I say he is a a Legit #1...Defense do have to account for him, and if your gonna double a receiver on the skins it better be garcon...if you dont double him...Well he will have a good day!!!

I am pretty sure the point is that the skins thought themselves to be a top 12(playoff) team, and to be that they need a #1 who is at least in the top 12 if not the tiop 10... Especially since they are not exactly a defensive team...

I would probably not put the Bucs or Chiefs over the Redskins if we are talking #1...being technical here....
I've seen Garcon still be successful with Painter, but Bowe is looking like a #2 due to a conservative QB and
SJax is about to disappear with no QB in Tampa.

other than that until Garcon puts in a healthy season with this offense I can't argue with this list

OK...People.......He is top 5 in catchs and in top 10 in yards.....teams gameplan to stop him...they double him, and he still gets his.....Reed at TE has emerged as a LEgit Threat that scares teams...Hankerson has stepped up nicely and is on pace for his best season......Gonna give him his love now??????

He trails only AJ green, Andrea Johsnon, and Antonio Brown in Catchs.....and in yards is 7th ..behind those 3 and calvin Johnson, Desean Jackson, and Jimmy Graham.....

Ahead of.....Brandon Marshall, Victor Cruz, Dez Bryant to name some Legit #1 guys.....

his Tds are lacking...but the skins power run it in when they get close....but I would like to see more tds from the guy....but comeon people....Recognize!!!

Garcon is very good. Has been since he was in Indy. Who cares about the "#1" label? Did it start in fantasy? Even in that context it doesn't really make sense to me, since you just add up the points of all the players on your roster.

I think he's the #1 WR in WAS, much like A. Brown is the #1 WR in PIT, but as #1s go on the totem pole...they are outside of the top10 league wide.

I'm not so sure about that. I don't recall hearing that term 20 years ago. Never heard any discussions about whether Stallworth or Swann, Clark or Taylor, or Smith or McCaffrey was the "number one" on their teams. It's something that fans and commentators talk about that seems pretty meaningless to me.

What he's not is this big stud that you can throw it to even if covered and feel like the WR will come down with it most of the time.

I think what WAS needs is another reliable WR...with some size.
