The very famous F-1 Race in the downtown circuit of Monaco is upon us this coming weekend. All the stars are here usually showing-up in their yachts for a weekend playground for the elites. WE shall see if the Mercs can continue to improve and maybe LeClerc will return to his earlier performances because right now, Verstappen has re-emerged as the champion even though he is on only up on LeClerc in the championship fight by 7 points. Should be the usual Memorial Day race.

That might be. In the past they always took Friday off. But I seem to recall them changing it up I guess this year.

I was correct.

Last year and previous years they had practice on Thursdays, Friday off and quali on Saturday.

This is the first year they aren't taking Friday off. Something about Acension Day and it being a bank holiday.

Well, somebody has their info out a whack. The TV people have the schedule listed as P-1 on Friday. I guess we will find-out tomorrow. Today, no FP-1 data was recorded so I don't know what is up. There is nothing in this article either.

Kimi Raikkonen is running NASCAR Trucks and now Trackhouse has signed him to run a Camaro in the road course at Watkins Glen. I guess he wants to play-around in his semi-retirement and visit the racing bloats in the states.

Raikkonen is the first of a number that Trackhouse , Justin Marks and Pitbull, are bringing over to run some Cup races. I keep hearing Riccardo and Hamilton as others.

Yep Obxy. NASCAR apparently has decided (especially through Trackhouse) to start invading F-1 Drivers to see if they'll come to the states and get involved in series that Schumacher wants stated were garbage racing and not worth his time. Of course now that he is eating his meals through a tube and mostly paralyzed, not many people are concerned about that opinion.

LeClerc and Sainz lead Verstappen in FP-1. LeClerc has been pretty frustrated getting bested by Verstappen the last 3 races so maybe he'll put it all together this race.

I may revisit if there are any penalties or major damage from the Perez/Sainz tangle at the end of Q3. Sainz could have easily killed a gearbox there.

I’d be more worried about Perez’ gearbox after that hit. Any word on Sainz failing to pull up with double yellows? Could be a 3rd strike for him
