I guess it depends on how many years. I think he's one of the best catchers they've had. He's a solid hitter too, which is a hard combination to find.

If you can work out a 5 year/$125 million contract ($25 mil per year would best Joe Mauer's $23 million mark for catchers, which J.T.'s camp has apparently been very vocal about), I would do it. There is obviously risk anytime you hand out that large of a contract to a catcher, but J.T. is one of the few guys who I think is worth it.
