The Phils are back to within 10 games of .500. They would seem to have a reasonable chance of finishing third in the poor NL East, with the way the pitching and hitting has improved in the last few weeks, and also with fresh callups like Franco and Gonzalez who may surprise. Playing .500 or better in the remaining 24 games gets them 76-78 wins perhaps.

lol. Ruf looked good at the plate tonite. He'll get more playing time as Howard gets more rest, I'm sure of it. I'd like to see Ruf, Asche, and Franco somehow playing at the same time.

Also,as I predicted Ruf is on the bench. They keep messing with his head. Every good performance is rewarded with a benching. What sense does it make to start Brown when he has had his chances. Franco should have received another start today as well. Amaro continues to pull Rynos strings. There is a lack of common sense within this organization.
