I'm not going to worry much about those results. He probably still needs to build some stamina and work on repeating his mechanics when he's tired.

More of an FYI. Shame for KK though as he has looked good. Just no place for him right now.

Top 5 teams affected by injuries out on Ranger blog on ESPN Dallas. Of course our team heads the list.

Wish I had been able to see Teen pitch last night. I saw he had a 53% whiff rate on his change up. That is a sexy pitch. He had a 22% all last season. Johan Santana has a 21% whiff rate on his change for his career. That's how good Teen's change is. It is Johan level sexy.

I don't expect him to have that K/9 all year, but if he can get more guys to miss and fewer guys to walk he's gonna have a heck of year.

He looked good. Just started to lose it there at the end as I am sure that is attributed to being early in the season and his stamina is not as it will be. Hard to beat 7 k's and 0 BB's.

FYI- seemed to be throwing more breaking pitches than normal.

By the way Rev we are still on track for our take 2 out of 3 prediction. That would be nice considering all the injuries.

Or maybe it was more of a hope for/would be nice on my part and not so much a prediction.

Kyle Kendrick isn't very good. I am honestly surprised that anyone but Choo and Fielder have actual ABs vs him.

What I really hope is that Ross has a good outing. There were some nice ABs by Choo, Fielder, Beltre, Rios and Martin. I really like having guys like Choo and Fielder who have a good eye at the plate.

We need all these guys on the roster currently, and need all of them to have a degree of success for the team to be successful. Anyone wishing for any Ranger player to do poorly so another guy can get a spot in his place is just not thinking about the big picture. We need Choice and Moreland to be successful in their roles and if not we have little depth. Some people need to stop being such damn pessimists and just root for all the players and the organization to do well and quit bitching about players. Leave the brunt for the manager, thats they way its supposed to work. I jest , sort of

Not sure if you for referencing me but I wasn't wishing anything against MM at all. I actually happen to like him more than many people on here. The thing that I suppose I am bitching about is more of a rouse with either Wash or the FO... not a player. Choice clearly earned a spot in the lineup in ST and outperformed MM and even Martin and Choo. What kind of message does it send to everyone when a kid that earned a spot based on merit is sitting on a the bench? That's all I am saying. But like Jta said... it's only two games in and maybe game one was a vet on opening day thing.

"it's only two games in"

MM has little to no shot with this crowd and Washington remains the worst manager in all of baseball.
Two games in and many here are in mid-season form

So tell me why people should believe in Moreland?

Garza had a no-hitter through 6, and just had it broken with a HR. It's a shame he didn't work out here.

Aaron Harang also had a no-hitter in the same game through 6, and just had it broken

Ian has a HR and DET has a 1-0 lead in the 8th. That could mean that Nathan comes in for the save and former Rangers are huge contributors in that one.

Garza will do well in the NL. That's all I have to say about him.

lol...different argument.

my point remains small sample size this season and many of this boards regulars enjoy the constant beat down of the guy.
Just checking if you had some insight on MM.

I think it's pretty obvious that if you produce people will like you. If you don't produce, then people won't. That even extends to players like Beltre and Andrus. Andrus has taken loads of heat for his subpar offensive and he largely deserves it.

Interested to see what Ausmus does. Max is at 100 pitches with 1 out in the 8th and a man on second with a reliever up in the pen.
