I wanted Choice to drive in the go-ahead run so bad in the 8th.

Yeah, me too. Maybe if he does something there he slas some since into the right person. I'm not sure if its all Wash not throwing him out there if its also the FO wanting to see MM get this his last chance or the even more likely combination of both. What ever it maybe, Choice needs to be finding his way in the starting lineup and thats not a poke at MM at all.

But guess what? Moreland did come through tonight and drove in a run when it mattered

That's true and he does deserve some credit for that. This really is nothing against Moreland at all. I mean you saw how they both played in ST. Choice earned a spot and I know you agree that if he is going to be up with the ML team that he needs to be getting regular ABs. I am happy that he has gotten two at this point but you would like to see him get some more consistent ones. Hell maybe even give Martin a day off and rotate him in there every once in a while. I realize that Choice might have just only really had a great ST and still might not be there yet but I think he has more than earned the opportunity to prove himself otherwise. Seems evident that we are committed to MM for now though. I like MM just think it might be a mistake to cool the kid off.

Stars absolutely spanked them today AND the rangers walk off. Even though the rangers didnt get 7, the stars got us half price pizza for us by winning a MUST win game in washington. It really couldnt be a better sports night (unless phoenix loses to winnipeg)

Well its only 2 games so far and Moreland should've got the start vs the RHP at this point,

yesterday it should've been Choice, maybe it was only b/c it was opening day and Mitch got the veteran's advantage but we'll see going forward

I'll be annoyed if/ when Moreland is in the lineup against Price this weekend.

Anybody wearing a ranger jersey out there on the field I am pulling for. And it was right that he started based on the matchup.

We need all these guys on the roster currently, and need all of them to have a degree of success for the team to be successful. Anyone wishing for any Ranger player to do poorly so another guy can get a spot in his place is just not thinking about the big picture. We need Choice and Moreland to be successful in their roles and if not we have little depth. Some people need to stop being such damn pessimists and just root for all the players and the organization to do well and quit bitching about players. Leave the brunt for the manager, thats they way its supposed to work. I jest , sort of

I do believe that this is part of the source of contention... I don't need to wish for Wash to fail or make bad decisions, he just finds a way to do so anyway

Looks like Kouz and Lillibridge did the damage to Colby. Gave up 2 runs in the 1st and 3 in the 5th.

Agree with it. I for one was irritated before game 1 because of Mitch starting against a lefty. Don't care if it is the season opener. And Leary of Scheppers making his first start on OD. But once the game started that was the end of it.

That is the frustrating part of it. You don't want to get upset about what is going on but RW does things that are so blatantly obvious that he should not you can't help but blow a gasket. That being said I want the team to succeed even if it keeps Wash around. I am not hoping that he fails like you were saying.

Most of us do support the team. Just look at the ones bitching and enough said. All is well.

Martin is looking better at that plate so far. It's just two games in, but he's having some nice at bats.

I'm not going to worry much about those results. He probably still needs to build some stamina and work on repeating his mechanics when he's tired.

I agree. He is seeing the ball really well and not just guessing what the pitch will be.
