I have a lot more faith in Perez tomorrow than I did Tanner today. I didn't expect it to go very well. My main concern with him was (and still is) his control. He lost it, and didn't look like he knew how to make adjustments on the fly.

Pitching just pitiful and Choice should have entered the game earlier than he did. Basic offense good enough to have won.

It's only 1 game..... The circus ( opening day) is over. Hopefully, the team does better now that they can just focus on playing.

Purty ugly show from a pitching standpoint all around. Most disappointing would have to be Ogando but maybe Shep too. Nice to see the offense rake against Lee though. Would like to see Choice get the start at DH though... He earned it... especially against lefty ' s

Questions: (1) Is Ogando pouting or just struggling? (2) How long will Wash go with Choo & MM against lefties instead of Choice? (3) Did Scheppers look OK at times?

1. Don't know 2. Who knows what he will do? 3.1st inning real good. After that....disaster. Starting Shep opening day and 1st big league start was insane. Perez would have been my choice.

The only thing worse than not starting Perez was the incredibly lame excuse as to why he didn't. Made no sense then, less now. And apparently Wash was the biggest cheerleader for Shep getting the start.

Just hope this not turn into a David Murphy situation. Playing Moreland no matter what he does. I hope Moreland does well. But i do not trust him, based on what he has done in the past.

Choo should still be in against lefties. He still gets on base.

Martin had good at bats. Looked better to me than last year. Rios looked good and made a really nice catch to save more runs.

I agree just because you need to use someone who has started before because of the hype of OD. I was afraid he would be too amped up. Plus he has command issues out of the pen at times. Ogando has not looked good in ST and today with the exception of 1 game.
