Last night was the greatest sports experience I’ve ever had in my life. I thought I had a sense for the crowd watching on tv. I had no idea. That place was a zoo. At 7:20 more than 80% of the seats were already filled.

Only thing I can think of is he'd rather have the bullpen game at home, than in Houston. I don't know. Just speculating
Not sure if it will help, but I think Thompson is trying to buy Wheeler more time for his arm fatigue.

Here’s the story: Nola and Wheeler put us on their back and brought us to this moment. They’re both experiencing arm fatigue. It’s that give and take with a rush to make the playoffs and going deep.

The answer: these guys have to rake! The recipe is early runs and early pressure which geeks the crowd up and makes everything tough on them. They need 6+ runs. We’ve seen them have hot home stands at the plate. That’s all they need. Just dial in with the bats and we’re parading down Broad Street.

I love all of you bastards! What a time to be alive! Let’s go Phillies!

One thing is obvious and it’s a sure thing. The Phillies have the most powerful lineup in the game. Just in time too. With Covid on the run and warm weather at hand, I’m anxious to wash down weekly cheese streaks and Bull’s pulled pork sandwiches at the park while celebrating our 100-win season.

Everybody hits! Wahoooo! :suds:
98 wins so far!

You refreshed my memory regarding some of my seemingly insane but prophetic April posts. This is my favorite, April 20:

"They're off to an embarrassingly bad start but this isn't the real team. No one can ever really explain it satisfactorily but teams fall into ruts like this anytime during a season. Phillies will climb out. I guarantee it. :suds:"

Looks like you had a fantastic seat! A zoo it is! The fans really get excited which makes the price of a ticket worthwhile. Amazing how the fans get the place rocking, really get into it and sometimes holler in unison, for example, the name of the opposing pitcher repeatedly, "Musgrove! Musgrove!", as they did least week at the San Diego game, kind of like when they would play Atlanta in the past and yelled, "Larry!, Larry!" to taunt Chipper. Glad you enjoyed the game!
