Bengals on Defense
DLine +8.9 (run +3.4, pass rush +3.2)
LB -1.1 (run +3.4 pass rush -1.2 coverage -1.8)
CB +3.9(run +2.5 coverage +0.1)
S -2.5(run 0, coverage -2.4)
Packers on Offense
OLine +8.3 (run block +4.1 pass block +2.8)
QB +7.1 (+6.5 pass)
WR +11.9(+8.8 pass)
TE +0.7 (+1.1 pass -1.3 run block)
Backs +3.0 (run +1.3 pass +0.9)
What sticks out here, to nobody's surprise, is the matchup vs the Packers' offensive skill players vs the Bengals' pass coverage. Rodgers could have a huge day if the pass rush isn't getting there early and often. The Bengals should be able to stop the run, and they must if they ever want to have the ball.
Packers on Defense
DLine -0.8 (run d +2.4 pass rush-4.5
LB -6.7 (run d +4.2 pass rush -7.7 coverage -1.4)
CB -2.0 (coverage -1.9)
S -11.1 (coverage -9.9 run d -1.6)
Bengals on Offense
OLine +20.1 (run block +11.5 pass block +6.7)
QB +0.1 (pass +0.3)
WR -0.3 (Pass -1.2)
TE +1.5(Pass +3.7 run block -1.5)ve
Backs +1.4 (-0.2 run -0.1 run +0.5 run block)
The Bengals must exploit the TE vs S matchup. Eifert and Gresham must come up big if they are to keep up with Rodgers and co. The Packers' defense has holes, especially in the passing game. They haven't rushed the passer well, and their coverage has been generally poor. Dalton is going to have to play out of his mind today, and Green also has to have a big game.
