Here's to hoping he finds his way onto an NFC roster.

I still think Seattle is the best fit in terms of having a complete team around him.

Solid defense, solid running game to help, good special teams (outside of coverage), All they would need to do is find a WR to help the offense.

Miami would be a good fit, too...but I think they will go after Flynn since the new coach is the GB old O-Cord and knows what flynn can do and can get an offense built around him with Bush and Marshall.

I'm hoping its not Miami -- We have to play them this year and we already are aware of our record against Peyton.

I think Seattle is the most intriguing option for him. They just re-signed Lynch and they have a nice defense. If they could get some health and production out of their receivers and a healthy Manning they would be one of the best in the NFC.

I could see every team in that division aside from St. Louis being attracted to him.

He could bring a championship to the 49ers.

What about the Cards? Having Fitz to throw too would have to be intriguing.

Your love for Alex Smith has been noted.

He would be awesome for the 49ers, but would it kill their cap? It seems like they have a lot of potentially high priced talent on the defensive side of the ball.

Jets to be in NY with his brother?

Washington so they do not have to trade up to get RG3.

Cleveland to be behind that offensive line with a pretty good defense.

Minnesota if they have any cap room to play with Adrian Peterson?

Denver. I know Tim Tebow is there...but they made the playoffs with Tebow, imagine what they could do with that young hungry team if Manning was running it. They should also have a good amount of cap space.

Miami is in need of a pro-bowl type QB worse than anyone in the league. Weapons all around, a good defense, and they can't do anything in that division with NE. Plus, imagine the Manning vs. Brady showdown twice a year for the writers.

SF is a chance since Alex Smith's contract is up, and Manning is now available wuithout giving up compensation. That would be a scary ass team with those offensive weapons, Manning and that stout D.

I haven't double checked but I recall reading they have plenty of cap space.

With that defense along with Crabtree, Gore, and Davis. Give them Peyton Manning and they'd be one of the heavy favorites to win it all assuming a healthy Peyton.

None of Arizona, Miami, Seattle, Denver, etc. can rival SF's talent.

Just read online that the 49ers have made an offer to Alex Smith.

Actually, not really. I'd rather Peyton go to a Washington or another similarly horrible team. Not that we will ever have a chance to contend for a SB, but we don't need another perennial contender to deal with.

Imagine if the 49ers used their 1st to grab Wallace from the Steelers (as it is a low pick), and then signed Manning in FA.

Instant SB favorite. Nobody could stop that, and hardly anyone could score on that D.

49ers would be back to the glory days.

Is he even healthy?

He's medically cleared..... He can take hits without increased risk of major neck damage. The real key is whether he can throw with the amount of velocity necessary to be effective. People keep talking about the youtube video filmed at Duke as evidence that he can, but Peyton's body language during interviews suggests he is struggling and questioning himself. That's just my opinion - He doesn't seem as confident as he did back in the day.

They've been saying that it could be August or September before they know how close to 100% his nerve will reginerate. But, the thinking is, it should be at or pretty close to 100% by August. Even at 90%....I'd take Manning if I needed a team that needed a QB. What he does goes beyond just making throws.

He already has a home in Miami, so that's the most likely place he'll end up.....bummer........

Imagine if he chose to go to Jacksonville or Tennessee? Would the Colts start kicking themselves?

Manning headed to Denver on Friday. I knew Denver would be interested in him.

What if Denver surrendered their 1st for Wallace and then signed Manning? With that defense, instant division favorites and SB contender.
