I've got to hand to Peyton Manning - not for how he played yesterday, but how he handled the questions. He talked about how he got to feel like the sub -QBs in the past felt when he got all the reps. When asked about the fans giving him a standing ovation - he mentioned it was probably the same fans in the same seats who booed him at the KC game. He downplayed his role in the game - "for what? Handing the ball off?"
Peyton Manning is still growing as a person - and you can't asked for more than that from anyone - usually those steeped so deeply in success - don't show personal growth and humility.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Osweiler poking his head into a Manning Nationwide commercial around Super Bowl time.
