Dan Quinn is a strong Candidate.

Oh My God Omg GIF

I said the rumor was Quinn right after the last game. That's still the rumbling but can't talk to him till after the divisional round I do believe.

It's fantastic news unless Jody wants to sell the team in which case this is a disaster
I was thinking along that line myself. However after thinking about it, a sale takes a long time with the NFL. How long for the Bronco's to find a new owner? Seemed like a couple of years. In any case Pete seemed like a lame duck just playing out his final season at best and I felt it affected his construction of the team, sacrificing long term benefits for a right now benefit. Even though I've been a big supporter of Pete, the time had come.
Now will this affect the GM position? I'm sort of hoping Jody cleans house entirely, but maybe with Pete gone John can do better? I'm a bit doubtful though as it seems that in trades the Seahawks got taken ( other than the RW trade) big time, more often then not( not saying every trade went wrong).

I think with Pete gone is now your best opportunity to let Schneider operate (and I believe Schneider will 100% stay - as he took back control from Carroll the picks have been decent). Now is where I see Seattle making a move for a QB.

I think the percent chance Seattle selects a QB has skyrocketed after this move.

Allegations? Oh boy. Yeah they are totally just allegations. That's why he accepted the punishment without any real fight and had assistant coaches destroying evidence. Sounds like he learned something from one of his other Michigan buddies.

Regardless of whether they were guilty, the crime is far too petty to vacate a national title.

Even if every team was doing it, how stupid was Harbaugh to be the only guy getting caught?

But yeah I'd totally like to have a coach that has his assistants coaching for him half the time because he's suspended for cheating.

I love all the concern trolling.

Carroll said he doesn't exactly know what his role is going to be, he's just thankful they intend to keep him a part of the organization.

Refused to answer if he'd take another HC job somewhere else.

I really hope Carroll is going to be an 'asked' advisor... because if this is some dual coaching situation or the bullshit we pulled with Peters/Forsythe at this point, I'm already done with this clown show.

He was vague in the details, but you can tell it was a team decision and he wasn't surprised. Doesn't sound like he's going to have a direct active role. Talked a lot about RS and the job ahead of him and how he'll be rooting for him.

What about Quinn?

He's a guy who can fix Metcalf issues with his style
Probably right, JF, but I still like Vrabel. This team has more serious issues than fixing Metcalf, before it can be considered a candidate for a deep playoff run. Still, I wish I had a crystal ball for knowing who Vrabel fancies as the team's next QB (if it isn't Geno). If he is considering Josh Fields, or Zach Wilson, or Mac Jones, or Danny Dimes, or any of the other young QBs who may find themselves unemployed this summer, then fuggetaboutit.
