Pete Carroll made a very stupid move at the end of the game

RW is magic, but he is useless on his back, which is where he was all night. If we would have called timeouts, it would have been more of the same.

You want to give yourself 2 chances to win instead of 1, no matter how miniscule that second chance might be. Carroll chose to win it with his defense. It worked out, but it would've been wiser to have a Plan B in case the Rams scored there. Keep in mind that if the Rams had scored, the Seahawks would have only needed a FG to either win or tie the game. A good kick return could put a team in FG range.

That decision is consistent with the perception that Pete Carroll is more of a rah-rah coach than a strategic coach. The question for fans is would you rather have a rah-rah coach who is great at pumping up his players or would you rather have a cold, calculating Bill Belichek type? Are there coaches out there who you would say are great at both?

Carroll is animated no doubt and has openly admitted in the past that his biggest fault was decision making more on raw emotion than brains which you could get away with at the college level. Anyone can see he's getting better better each day at becoming a more balanced coach in the NFL. I love his passion for the game though which (I can see how) rubs people off the wrong way if you aren't a fan of his team. I mean if you don't have somewhat of a passion in what you do for a living, why do it? You gotta remember, Belichek's cold, calculating methods didn't work in Cleveland and in New England before Brady came along. You gotta have the right guys in place that play in to your system. To answer your last question, I'd have to go with Chuck Pagano. He's a guy I'd love to play football for.

Letting the clock run down. Call timeout with 20 seconds left. If they don't score, the game is over anyway. But if they do score, atleast you have a small chance at a long FG with a good return.

Fisher made a stupid move by going empty with a bad QB. Gotta atleast give the appearance of run there.

I agree with all of this.

Agree with the bold. You at least had to represent run.

It looked like they only had 3 guys running routes too.... didn't get a shot of the whole field. Maybe there were more. An ill-advised design.

That time management by Jeff Fisher is right up with Andy Reid's snafu's

What did Fisher do wrong ? Do you mean Carroll ? I thought Fisher played it perfectly...the time management that is. The last play was a clusterfuck.

The Rams, red zone, offensive play calling was horrid. That last play call was one of the worst calls I've seen in awhile. Absolutely ridiculous.

When it happened, I was thinking about a TO too.

But maybe calling a TO and giving the Rams extra time to draw up a play and allowing the offense to gather composure was what they wanted to avoid. Keeping the clock running kept a ton of pressure on Clemens.

I agree that Pete Carroll should have used his timeouts. To the Seahawk fans who supported Carroll's decision, did you guys forget that you have Russell Wilson as your QB? The guy's been magic so far in his career. To not save time for him in case the Rams scored is just wrong.

Wilson is Magic!

Anyone else notice that look on Pete Carrolls face during most of the game? It wasn't the typical arrogant smirk and strut thing was it? More like a deer in the headlights, couldn't believe what he was seeing... one of the worst teams in the NFL with a has been nobody QB and a couple RB's no one can name (stacey, lacey, pacey.... something like that) just dominate supposedly one of the top teams in football. Was fun to watch carroll squirm and look frightened and worried... I will say that. Those bad decisions were made in panic.

I wonder if Kap was taking notes on Clemens and how to move the ball and confidently face the Seahawks defense.

Wilson should have taken notes on Kaeps performance against the Rams....

And most importantly, Marshawn Lynch should have watched the niners/rams game and taken notes on Frank Gores methodology.... because he straight tore up that rams defense while lynch had what? 29 yards and 2.3 a carry? :laugh3:

Maybe the niners should take notes on how to defend Marshawn too.

Unlike Kap, Wilson can still win when everything isn't going great. He's not a frontrunner.

You are a funny little troll.:lame:

When SF plays a poor game, they get flat out punked and lose by a large margin.
In last nights game, we won a road game against a division opponent as we displayed our worst offensive performance in 2 years. Our D won this game and the goal line stand at the end was stupendous considering our D was on the field most of the night due to TOP in The Rams favor.

Understanding that your livelyhood is hunting for anything neg on Seattle, I am quite pleased that with a plethora of negative events in this game, we still won it. Credit The Rams for playing inspired ball.
