Look at the 'off the skate' controversies. Any time there is room for interpretation people feel cheated.

The 'net of the moorings' rule might be unfair at times, but at least it's black and white, so fans can be ojective even if they're getting screwed!

I did check the rules on dislodging the net. Refs can award goals in certain cases, and last night might have qualified. I think they are just hesitant about playing that card though, and I can understand why.
