good call on Dupuis, whoever that was

10-0 leading by 2 after 2...I knew that would work posting that ;)

Sorry Sens fans, your team put up a hell of a fight

Pens need to up their level of play or they won't get so lucky next round.

Shit you better find a Goalie quick, Fleury looks very unstable!

Congrats Pens fans.

I knew it was trouble when Clouston put out the Donovan line. There's absolutely no reason they should be out there at that point in the game.

Still, that wasn't where the Sens lost this game. It was in the third period where they completely sat back and let the Pens come at them. Yes, the Pens picked up their game but the Sens completely abandoned their game and went to a 0-1-4 almost.

That dissallowed 4th goal was the difference I feel though.

CBC's Elliot really pushed the whole, what was said in the 2nd intermission thing.

That was a fantastic series. Pens finally broke through in the OT, just a game late. I was really impressed about Ottawa sitting Elliott and starting Leclaire, who held his own very well in games 5 and 6. The Pens talent eventually pulled them through, but I wonder what the additions of Kovalev and Michalek would have done to this one.

The pens will not be able to win going forward on just talent alone. They need to tighten their game up in a couple areas. I don't like how the defencemen are playing down low in the defensive end, and Fleury needs to find his pace he had rolling last year.

Good series Sens fans. I enjoyed watching these two teams square off for six games. Never a dull moment.

At 3-0 I definitely had a sense of Deja Vu, especially when Cooke scored to start the comeback.

I give props to Ottawa for fighting in this series... except for last night's third period. Up until then, they played with nothing to lose. All of a sudden they tightened up, and it cost them the game. Once OT started, they had no flow.

What'd you guys think of the goal reviews this game? I think they got them right. There were quite a few.

Even though I thought the first one was in, I didn't see enough to overturn the call on the ice. The rest I thought were all correct as well so I thought they got them all right. I just wasn't sure if there was a rule out there that allowed a goal to be called in certain situations where the net comes off but from the announcers and everyone else, I am guessing that there is not.

I thought that the Rupp goal was in, but because it was initially called a no goal, and the video evidence wasn't conclusive enough, or very good quality they made the correct call in that situation.

The sens goal that was called back i thought was correct, except I considered the fact that Orpik pushed him into the post. obviously, the net had not stayed in position, but I thought maybe they could have decided that Orpik forced him into dislodging it.

So, both teams lucked out on eventual no-goal calls. It evened out in the end.

Yeah, by the letter of the rules, both calls were correct. Could have been some interpretation on both, but ultimately they got both right.

I personally wouldn't mind an exception to the "goal off it's moorings" rule if it doesn't affect the goal in the ref's eyes. But it would become such a gray area, I can see why they don't want to do it. Goal completely off it's moorings = no goal.

I'd like to see the net off the mooring rule be revisited. For instance, if the mooring comes off only a second or two before the puck crosses the line, in such a way that the puck would have gone in regardless, and the flow of the game was uninterrupted (ie. no whistle before the puck goes in), it should count IMO.

Yes, I realize that the Sens goal would have been ruled a goal in that situation, but I'm being objective about it.

The only issue I see with it is the refs can't consistently get it right when the rule is black and white. If there's a lot left to interpretation they will just make it even worse.

Take the Unsportsmanlike: Diving call. How often is that called correctly? Have you ever seen a dive without a corresponding additional call? I don't ever remember it.

Maybe if they made it a challenge call. And it went straight to the War Room....

Wait... Never mind.
