Honestly, they needed a few losses here. Can't cover up the issues for the rest of the year, and it's much easier to see in a loss what those issues are. These issues existed prior to these losses too...they were masked by great goaltending.

I wonder if Fleury wasn't yet fully ready to come back. The back-to-back and Vokoun's previous game kind of forced Bylsma's hand, though, to put him back in.

MAF didn't do a bad job filling in for Vokoun on Tuesday, but he really wasn't tested much.

Believe it or not, back in the day Michigan and Ohio both wanted Toledo and Ohio won out. That's why the state border looks like it does.

Yeah, and a lot of people are still real sensitive about it, which is weird to me. When I first moved here, I asked a group of people I worked with (couple from Michigan, couple form Ohio) what the fight was all about, and that was it. Toledo.

So I asked if Ohio lost. I was told that Ohio won, and I was like "And Toledo was the prize? That sucks."

That ruffled some feathers so I said to the Michigan guys "If we give you Toledo back, will you shut up about it?"

The good news is they never got into it around me again.


The other weird thing is that "the" Ohio State University thing. I still don't really get that.
