As soon as Feaster announced his name at the draft, I was very happy. He seems to be one of those guys that attracts the puck (unlike Stajan who repels it).

Do you think it would be better for Bartschi to be the focal point of the team this year in Portland so he gets as much playing time as possible? Or would it be better if Johansen & Niederreiter came back giving him a better chance to contend for the Memorial Cup?

What do you think of Brendan Richton? I know he had a really good year last season. Is he a future NHLer?

Kichton will be an NHLer. He has great hockey sense. If he had put up the numbers he did last year the year before he would have been a first round pick. Unfortunately he was stuck behind Jared Spurgeon, Jared Cowen and Stefan Ulmer in Spokane in 2009-10 so he got little playing top on the PP or with the scoring lines. Kichton plays a style very similar to Spurgeon who is with the Wild now. Both are very smart players and play good positional hockey because neither are super big, though Kichton definitely has a size advantage over Spurgeon. Kichton doesn't sacrifice defense for offense though, which his +55 rating last year will attest to. He doesn't shy away from contact and both his shooting and passing are fantastic. The Islanders got a steal getting him when they did.

Yes, the blue-line of the future is looking very, very promising for Pittsburgh. With Morrow and Simon Despres gaining valuable experience, the time will soon be coming to call Pittsburgh their permanent home.

As long as Sven continues to develop (and put a little more muscle on that frame), I'm not sure it matters all that much. Having said that, it never hurts to have championship experience.
