I imagine USC's at it's limit, so I'd be looking over my shoulder if I were an upper classman not on the 2 deep.

Alabama isn't interested in any of these players because it isn't considered oversigning anymore.

First transfer???

OL Ryan Nowicki (redshirt Fresman) reportedly leaving, set to meet with Illinois.

Offensive tackle Ryan Nowicki, a redshirt freshman, is leaving the Nittany Lions, perhaps for Illinois, the Arizona Republic reported Tuesday. Illinois coaches are expected to visit Nowicki in State College, Pa., on Wednesday, a source told the Republic, while other Illini coaches will meet with Nowicki's parents in Glendale, Ariz.

I have yet to see where the BiG 10 has officially waived the in-conference transfer rule that requires the player sit out a year.

lol @ people being mad at the scholarships being yanked. There shouldn't even be sports scholarships. College is for knowledge, therefore that should be the only thing you receive any aid for going to college for. Not how far you can throw some oval shaped pig skin ball.

And it's not so much about losing scholarships as Emmert implying that Penn State football has shitty academic standards

And athletic scholarships provide educations for many kids that would most likely not make it to college on their own.

Did I? That's funny.

What was said is that scholarships should not be given for playing sports, only for education. Giving a player a scholarship to play a sport for your school is similar to paying them to play.

You realize that it is an investment right. The college makes much more money off of the player than the scholarship costs them.
