100% agree. Just a break after a lot of cruddy ones for the Pens. Price has every right to be pissed, he was the only reason that game went to OT.

The two no-goal calls were not cruddy calls, they were clearly no goals per the rules.


That winning goal was a horrible call that trumps and "cruddy ones" the Pens got by a mile.

I was talking more about the no penalty on Letang than the no goal. Obviously by rule the first non-goal doesn't count, and the other one was more up in the air, but the whistle blew so it's not a goal regardless. I'm just as amazed as everyone else that they didn't blow the whistle on that play.

It's just one of those things where the breaks tend to even out after a certain point. Like you said, it's hockey.

Agree with both of you it happens over the course of the season both ways.

With that said it was a horrible call/goal, but like the analyst said the Ref was on the wrong side to see it covered. Then the Canadien players all stopped even though no whistle was blown, which was the biggest mistake on that play.

Generally refs are pretty quick to blow the whistle dead, so maybe we're just not seeing something from the camera angles? I mean, I think we can agree Price wasn't exactly sure where the puck was, and it seemed to pop out pretty easily, so maybe it wasn't actually covered? There's not a perfect angle.

Still, even if it was lose, I have no idea how the ref could've seen it from his angle. Perplexed as to why this wasn't blown dead, but I'll take it!
