One problem with the game being on the NHL Network besides Cole not know players names, is that they cut away to "On the Fly" right after the end so I didnt get to see the replay of the winner.

Considering how fast on the draw the refs are with the whistle, I still can't believe they let the play go on.

How many times do you see them blow the whistle when the goalie doesn't even have the puck near him or covered up? I say Price is right to be pissed.

Letang got drilled by Pacioretty on a shoulder to the face, went to the room, and came back and scored the game winner in OT.

Pacioretty laid out Letang with a borderline hit, and we all thought Letang was out of the game. But he came back in overtime to score the winning goal while Pacioretty was on the ice. He even shook him to start the breakout which ultimately led to the goal.

CBC showed a great view of Price covering the puck up with his glove before Letang dug it out. A player isn't allowed to do that as per the rules in place.

Refs screwed it up, plain and simple.

100% agree. Just a break after a lot of cruddy ones for the Pens. Price has every right to be pissed, he was the only reason that game went to OT.


On another note, Sid had a very interesting post-game interview with comments on Foligno's comments from last game:

I still did not see a good replay of the OT winner. When "On The Fly" showed it they had a graphic on the bottom covering up the lower part of the screen.

Oh well. With the number of jokers the Habs had in their lineup they are lucky to get a point.

Max will probably get a couple of games, though CBC did seem to think the head was hit on the follow through. Whatever it will be the one thing I disagree with is that it was a blind side hit. From the one angle it pretty clearly showed that Letang looked at him then went back to looking elsewhere.

Oh well apparently if you tell Shanahan it was an accident all will be well.

In this not-pixelated video, I can say definitively that the puck was frozen.

Good break for the Penguins. Perhaps the referee saw something he thought was the puck? I did, but my excuse was that my feed was so pixelated that there were 50 pucks on the screen at any given time.
