Habs at Sens tonight.

Leclaire in nets for the Sens; Price (surprise, surprise) goes for the Habbies.

Subban (ya know I hate to say I told you so but guys like me who know hockey... here's what I said in October of 2009, us guys who know hockey have been saying this) is again a healthy scratch for MTL.

Good luck Comeds and Habs fans.

Go SENS!!

LOL @ 5 minutes on Kelly.

It was borderline to be a minor.

Nice 5 minute kill by the Sens though.

Sens lose once again....

Why am I not surprised.

Did you see the game Urk?

The Sens played well through 40 minutes and then Kuba pretty much pooched the game single-handledly (with some help from Ruutu).

Couple of things I wanted to point out too.

1) Lack of scoring again

I really don't understand this one. It's the one area I thought this team wouldn't have any problems with. It really is a problem though because once they start forcing it they give up more goals.

2) Bad reads by defensemen

How many times does a defensemen have to pinch before he realizes it might be a bad idea?

And Kuba needs to seriously sit out. He's been useless. I gave him a chance to start playing better and he is still playing like an AHLer.

3) Penalties

Okay, maybe the Kelly call was pretty suspect but the team has seriously been undisciplined all year long. That needs to change.

All of this adds up to what we're seeing. Hopefully changes are made because this time I don't see them getting out of it.

At this point, or no later than a week or two from now, I agree.

They could do a really fast rebuild in Ottawa. Keep Spezza, Regin, Foligno, Karlsson, Elliott, Leclaire (at the right term and price), Alfredsson (unlikely he'd move at this point), Neil. The rest you see what you could get for them between now and the deadline.

With Cowen (playing great in the W), Rundblad (one of the best D-men in the SEL at age 20), Gryba (nice stay at home guy), Wiercioch (struggling but wil lbe an NHLer) they have a D-Corps that could be AMAZING within 2-4 years.

Get some good forward prospects, use the cap space they'll have this year and they are back into a good spot within 2 years.

We'll see.

Yeah, we'll just have to wait what goes on. We've got some good prospects as you point out.

I will admit that I had a smile on my face when the guys on TSN brought up all the contracts that expire after this season. It's time for a new direction anyway, it really is. We've had a good run and now its coming to an end. That's just the nature of the NHL now.

LOL I was upset it was 5 minutes too. The Habs power play was awful. I thought the long PK was going to really swing momentum the Sens way.

The Senators looked like they were taking the game over in the 2nd but the Habs held on and that penalty killed some momentum.

Geez, get rid of Spezza already. He always seems to play well against the Habs.
