If it’s true, and RR is truly trying to “help young men mature,” then he ought to give Payne the appropriate Dad lecture about not running away from conflict you have with a teammate. That adults solve their own problems through coversations, and that there is literally no fucking way whatsoever that he’s being traded at all. Zero chance of that.

Paynes father going to social media shows the lack of fortitude and leadership that should be displayed by a father. He should be using this experience as a lesson his son should/can learn and grow from. We are all accountable to someone and perhaps as captain Allen could lead with more dignity himself. Whatever happened to adults sitting down to discuss openly a situation of conflict in order to discover resolve. How can we overcome this together. Times have changed, people have changed and it's extremely sad to see how these high profile/paid athletes handle conflict. We are talking about playing football. How will these young men handle real conflict. Do they even realize what tragedy millions of Americans face every day and those same people must persevere and move forward.
This situation just adds to the toxic culture that still exists within the walls at Ashburn. This team is divided obviously and some where in the line of leaders of men there is a weak link that has allowed penetration into what should be an unpenetrabale cohesive unit. I get it, families fued but Families rise above it with resolve.

I hope they can fix this. Both guys are studs and if we had some linebackers that teams had to account for they'd be even better.

I remember when Westbrook knocked out Davis and that was it for Westbrook. Now Westbrook was a bust and Payne isn't, but I hope Rivera can fix it.

It's on him as well. He's the culture guy. Two grown men, and it's not Rivera’s fault but it's his problem.
