sky's the limit with these kids, but it would be a miracle for them to both come back and pitch like solid top of the rotation guys with less than 10 MLB starts between them.

it would be nice to get into the top 50% of mlb for quality starts, though, so we'll see.

it will be interesting to see how they deal with the limited run support they'll get over the course of 2/3 of a full season.

Couldn't be worse than Brandon Maurer.

If even one of the two comes back and contributes positively then I think this puts the team in good shape.

good shape to what?

you could have 5 felix hernandezes out there pitching, and it can't make up for a bottom 3 AL offense like this pile of shit.

i'm afraid for paxton and walker to have to go out and deal with knowing that giving up a run or two is almost a guaranteed ND or L. vets don't care as much about that, and fans certainly shouldn't, but there's no way for them to keep that out of their minds. both are wonderful, and i hope they get traded to real teams very soon if the m's front office keeps being indifferent to articulating a legitimate MLB offense.

i realize some think they're some sort of panacea to this team's multitude of problems, and it's really kind of surreal.

And here is the kicker, for a team not willing to raise payroll what happens in a couple of years when Paxton and Walker hit arbitration and Kuma is on his next, bigger deal? They will have even less to spend on offense...lol. They suck!

As long as the M's have their solid base of Felix and Cano, I guess it doesn't really matter....

Or maybe the M's will be lucky enough for them to go after some higher quality FA. Z's good at those!

I think they are coming back very soon because I dont see any other reason to put up with how bad brandon maurer has been pitching they probably figure that 1 or 2 more starts of brandon maurer before either paxton or walker comes back

Does that make our new Big 3 Ramirez, Elias, and Maurer?

I doubt Paxton pitches again for a long while.

Congrats to the amazing M's training staff. Bargain basement all around!

And Pryor is shut down with same thing Walker had. I go back to my original opinion from years ago, trade all freaking young pitchers because they all are fragile. Over-exaggeration I know, but just tired of waiting for something and getting nothing. Life of a Mariners fan I know.

Walker is scheduled to throw 75 pitches in Tacoma tomorrow. I guess the only question is does he get hurt warming up, during the game or after the game?

I really hope there isn't anything too serious going on with Walker or Paxton. But I have a bad feeling about both of them.

In Paxtons case... When you have a "minor" injury then sit out for awhile then start throwing again and injury comes back it is a really bad sign, a sign that there is something seriously wrong.
