You have to keep the receivers involved. If you run all game every game the rookies don't develop and that is a priority over how they are playing now. This team will win the division.

Running the ball moves the ball when the passing game is not. It also sets up play action pass, which keeps the WR in the game. Running the ball does not mean the WR are inactive, they still have to block!

It doesn't do what needs to happen for the receivers to develop. 5 less pass attempts a game would seriously hurt their development,

I think they are fine. I am not going to pass when nothing is happening just so they can learn to run routes. If I am getting 5 YPC, I am going to do that. They practice for a reason.

Seriously? You aren't stupid. But this comment is. No one is saying run the ball every down. When you run the ball effectively....it makes it so much easier for the passing game.

When we were winning SB's, we'd run the ball 6-8 times in a row. We don't do that any more. Ridley has made some great runs today. But do we run him again after? No. We throw. That is stupid. The rookies can still be involved. The more effective the run, easier the pass game.

The number of routes the run is much more important to their development than trying to ease them into it. This is the gameplan for now because this is how the team gets better. In the postseason, that's when the focus switches to winning every game and the gameplan changes. The regular season is when you develop your guys.
