In 2011, the Lions hosted the Patriots in week 3 of the Pre-season, and the Lions played their hearts out. They played like it was the fucking super bowl. Tom Brady later said "they kicked our asses." Watch the intensity led by Suh and watch how it positively infected the rest of the team. WTF happened to this team? Where did they go? Is it because Goodell snipped Suh's balls? I think so. Can this intensity ever resurface for the Lions?

Big game tonight. Time to put up or shut up. If the Lions get railed tonight, you can kiss the season good bye and start discussing who the next HC will be. If they play like this and take it to the Pats starting O and D we might have some hope. Personally, I'm growing tired of hoping. I want to see results NOW.

I dont know what will happen tonight, but the season is probably not going to be good. We need to win the first 2 games out of the gate because they will get very difficult after that. This season could end up being a total disaster and we end up with only 2 or 3 wins. There is a chance that everything comes together and we end up a little better than 500 and propell us into next eyar.

Am I the only one who thinks the coaching is holding down the talent, and when we have won it's because the talent has overcome the coaching flaws? In other words, I really wonder what a proven/veteran HC could do with guys like Stafford, Suh, Fairley, Ansah, Pettigrew and others. I hate to admit it, but I am constantly feeling like this team has peaked with this staff. They just are what they are. I hope I'm wrong, and RB really has been the missing link, Bush comes in here and we start out something like 5-0 again.

I want to see Stafford connect with his receivers, and drive the Lions to a TD score. I don't think that's too much to ask. I think the D Line will be fired up for this one and make some plays. The Pats have 2-3 rookies out there tonight catching balls from Tom Brady (all talented too) so no excuses.

I think it's because Stafford must learn to find someone else out there before week 1 starts. Coaching staff is basically forcing pimp to find some new targets and look around the field more often imo.

Excited to see this game, if CJ is out I'm disappointed. I would have liked to have our DB's tested harder by facing him.
