And how many chances has Josh been given?
Now?
1 more than before, and hopefully just the right amount.
And how many chances has Josh been given?
Who the fuck is going to read all that shit?Let's put Josh Gordon out front and center.
I don't know if the good comes close to outweighing the bad. Sometimes no matter what a person does, they can never overcome anything that they've done previously. For others, no matter how horrible they've been, everything is easily forgotten. The man is extremely talented. He's a Randy Moss type WR who is 6'3" and 225 lbs. He's as strong as an ox and he will fight for possession of a pass. When he's on, he can be an electrifying presence for his team and an electrocution for the opponent. His time in 2016 rehab apparently did some good. According to all reports known, he has passed at least 20 different urine tests with no suspected drug or alcohol traces. If he is clean and has been clean since Sept. 2016, then welcome to the Patriots.
First, the bad.
He began using Xanax and Marijuana recreational in middle school. (6th, 7th, 8th grades)
Played football, basketball and ran track throughout high school and continued recreation use of marijuana.
Gordon accepted an athletic scholarship to play football for Baylor University. However, in October 2010, during his sophomore year, he and teammate Willie Jefferson were found asleep in a local Taco Bell drive-through lane. Police found marijuana in Jefferson's car. Jefferson, who was driving, was kicked off the team due to it being his second violation, but Gordon was only suspended.[10][11]
In July 2011, Gordon was suspended indefinitely by head coach Art Briles, for later failing a drug test and testing positive for marijuana.[10][11]
In August 2011, Gordon transferred to the University of Utah, where he sat out the 2011 season after declaring too late for the 2011 Supplemental Draft.[10][11]
2013 season[edit]
On June 7, 2013, the NFL announced that Gordon would be suspended for the first two games of the 2013 season due to violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy.[16] During Week 12, Gordon had 237 receiving yards and in Week 13, he had 261 receiving yards. Gordon's accomplishment marked the first time in NFL history that a wide receiver had back-to-back games with at least 200 receiving yards.[17] On December 26, 2013, he was named the Cleveland Chapter PFWA Player of the Year following the season.[18]
On December 27, 2013, Gordon was voted to his first Pro Bowl selection. Gordon finished the 2013 season as the league leader in receiving yards with 1,646,[19] and was named first-team All-Pro alongside Calvin Johnson of the Detroit Lions.[20]
2014 season[edit]
On July 5, 2014, Gordon was arrested for driving while impaired in Raleigh, North Carolina.[21]
On August 27, 2014, Gordon acknowledged that the NFL suspended him for one year for violating the league's substance-abuse policy.[22] On September 19, 2014, his suspension was reduced to 10 games amidst the new NFL drug policy. Gordon was officially reinstated on November 17.[23]
On December 27, 2014, exactly one year removed from being selected into the Pro Bowl, the Browns suspended Gordon from the final game of the 2014 season due to a violation of team rules.[24]
Due to Gordon's suspensions, he only played five games in the 2014 season and caught 24 passes for 303 yards with no touchdowns.
2015 season[edit]
Gordon was suspended for the entire 2015 season due to violating the league's substance abuse policy.[25]
In January 2015, Gordon faced another year-long suspension due to testing positive for alcohol use.[26] Gordon entered the NFL's substance abuse program after pleading guilty to a driving while impaired charge in September 2014 and was prohibited from consuming alcohol during his time in the program.[27] Gordon was officially suspended from the NFL for one year on February 3, 2015 and was not eligible to return until the start of the 2016 season.[28]
2016 season[edit]
On January 20, 2016, Gordon applied to the league for reinstatement.[29] His request was denied in March when it was reported that he had failed another drug test.[30]
On July 25, 2016, Gordon was reinstated by the NFL. He was allowed to participate in training camp but was suspended for the first four games of the 2016 regular season.[31]
On September 29, 2016, Gordon left the Cleveland Browns to enter an in-patient rehabilitation facility. He was one week away from reinstatement to the NFL, serving his previous sentence of four regular season games. In a press statement, Gordon wrote, "After careful thought and deep consideration I've decided that I need to step away from pursuing my return to the Browns and my football career to enter an in-patient rehabilitation facility. This is the right decision for me and one that I hope will enable me to gain full control of my life and continue on a path to reach my full potential as a person. I appreciate the support of the NFL, NFLPA, the Browns, my teammates, my agent and the community through this extremely challenging process."[32]
2017 season[edit]
On March 1, 2017, Gordon again applied to the league for reinstatement,[33] but was denied on May 11, 2017.[34] On November 1, Gordon was finally reinstated, but on a conditional basis, meaning that he would be eligible to return in Week 13.[35] He was officially activated off the Commissioner's Exempt list on November 30, 2017 for the Browns' Week 13 game against the Chargers.[36] After nearly three years of being out of football, Gordon finally made his way back to the game in Week 13 against the Los Angeles Chargers. He finished the game with 85 receiving yards as the Browns lost 10–19. On December 10, 2017, while playing the Packers, Gordon scored his first touchdown since the 2013 season.[37]

Who the fuck is going to read all that shit?
I read it.
I did.
Wow well good for you two. No way I am wasting time reading that when we all know what his skills are and his history is. People are willing to sell out for victory, I get it I just don't like it.
Ray Rice would be a sell out.
Grass and tequila ain't selling out.
Well there is more to it than just him getting caught smoking and drinking. Don't forget he was arrested because he was driving under the influence as well.
So was I.
More than once. Thank the lord I was given the opportunity to improve and learn from my mistakes and become a productive contributing member of society.
The real question is why take the time to write that stuff since the rest of us are free to ignore it if we like? Oh yeah, copy and paste DOES exist...Who the fuck is going to read all that shit?
No disrespect here but take the lord out of it. You earned it and you needed to earn it. I won't say take a bow, but many others have failed at something you succeeeded at.So was I.

The issues run deeper than that but if it's an obtuse approach you want to take so be it.Ray Rice would be a sell out.

It was a copy and paste deal, but yeah some media outlets thought is was worth effort. The real question is why take the time to write that stuff since the rest of us are free to ignore it if we like? Oh yeah, copy and paste DOES exist...
Well maybe he feels as if the Lord guided him on this spiritual cleansing he undertook. I think that's all bullshit but if he feels the lord guided him then good for him.No disrespect here but take the lord out of it. You earned it and you needed to earn it.
