Cornerback Robert McClain tweeted out the news Wednesday afternoon that he had apparently agreed to a deal with the Patriots.

The 5-foot-9, 180-pound McClain, a seventh-round pick of the Panthers in 2010, has spent four seasons in the league, and has three picks and 158 tackles in his professional career. The former UConn standout had his best season last year with the Falcons, where he started six games, had one sack, two interceptions and added 49 tackles.

Jason Varrett is 5'9" 1/2 and he's a starter so you never know.

Edelman is pretty short too isn't he ?.....Well you know Bills calling card; do your job or I'll get someone who will !!
He's got to go cb by committee after losing the best cb in the league, he's got something up his cut off sleeves, you can bet on that......Although he will cheat you in a second, the guy is a brilliant coach, no question...

Heck the Pats are very PC when it comes to short folks. Hasn't seemed to hurt them. Ability trumps size.

Unless that dude can leap like crazy it's tough to lock one on one with short corners... I like the idea of staying big at the corner spot, gives you more security on those fade routes one on one...
