I assume it wasn't because he was in a hit-and-run incident, but because he failed to follow the team protocol in the aftermath and wasn't able to successfully cover it up.

The Pats better hope the season gets here fast otherwise the list of players could get so long that it would just be easier to have a rally for those players who are not suspended or cut before preseason even starts.
